The Rampage of Igbo Creative Avatar, Agwu Ocha

Agwu ocha is the famed Igbo god of vengeful creativity “White Agwu,” which wreaks havoc in creative settings sometimes verging on stark madness. Some of the more horrid global handiwork of Agwu ocha include the Pepsi commercial pyrotechnic accident at L.A.’s Shrine Auditorium that burned Michael Jackson’s hair on January 27, 1984; the tragic collapse of Madonna’s concert stage roof at the southern French city of Marseille that killed and injured many workers on July 16, 2009; and the affliction of deadly drug addictions on such acclaimed artists as Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, Bob Marley, Dambudzo Marechera, and Elvis Presley. The regenerative and redemptive avatar Agwu oji (“Black Agwu”) is the equally famed twin sibling of Agwu ocha. Agwu ocha is the other face, the mediation, of creative genius.
